Vy Le—A Resident Services Manager in Washington State

Vy Le’s perseverance as an immigrant, unbeknownst to her, was preparation for a later fight to remove barriers for others facing similar challenges.

Today you have the opportunity to hear from Vy Le of Tacoma, Washington. Vy is a resident services manager at Mercy Housing Northwest, which owns and manages dozens of properties in Washington state and Idaho. Vy’s perseverance as an immigrant, unbeknownst to her, was preparation for a later fight to remove barriers for others facing similar challenges.

We encourage you to continue using these stories, including your own, to remind others how women of color are critical to the transformation of communities across this country.

Check back here next week as we profile Cynthia Wiggins, a community advocate living in New Orleans.

Vy Le’s story is part of Women of Color on the Frontlines, a video series produced by Shelterforce and Community Change. If you’re enjoying this series, please consider becoming a supporter.

We can’t do this work without you.
