Though we don't yet have funding for the National Housing Trust Fund, and housing didn't get the play we had hoped in national campaigns, San Francisco put it on the agenda, taking action this Election Day to become the first city in California with a permanent local source of funding for affordable housing.
A wide coalition of groups came together to beat the streets in support of Proposition C, which established a housing trust fund for the city, and they won with 65 percent of the vote. Given San Francisco's super high cost housing and high rates of homelessness, this is an exciting win, and hopefully a model for other hot markets committed to inclusivity and a stable economic base.

How much will be accessible for walking wounded? many longterm homeless are long term ill/disabled. They need help to move in and locate accessible housing.
Designing eat in kitchens and small but accessible is key to serve the disability community and seniors for their best health and ability.
FHEO/ ADA in place but still there is little safe accessible shelter or housing.
Most people can take mass transit but some people with disabilities need to drive a car. More Accessible parking for housing and biz parking that is not just one taken all day by employees is needed at med centers and State Voc Rehab and other local service orgs/bldgs.
