Shelterforce‘s Shelby R. King participated in a virtual forum, “Prospects for Affordable Housing Under the Trump Administration,” on Thursday, July 31. The forum explored how the Trump administration’s policies will affect affordable housing, including what could happen to LIHTC funding, Section 8 housing vouchers, and the impact of proposed HUD budget cuts.
King was joined by several affordable housing developers who shared their experiences and expectations of this administration, and what housing advocates can do to make affordable housing happen at the state and federal level.
The forum was hosted by Making Affordable Housing and Community Happen, a faith-rooted nonprofit that engages congregations to build affordable housing.
