Matt serves as the General Counsel for the Center for Community Progress. Matt has worked closely with communities across the country to develop more effective and equitable approaches to address vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties, including by helping to assess and reform state and local laws and policies related to code enforcement, delinquent property tax enforcement, and land banking. Prior to joining Community Progress, Matt spent 10 years as an attorney at the City of Chicago’s Department of Law.
