Alex Lee is a California State Assembly member, representing the 25th District, and has authored the Social Housing Act, AB 2053, which would establish social housing in California. Elected in 2020, Lee became the youngest Asian American and the first openly bisexual legislator to be elected in the California State Assembly. He serves on the Education, Transportation, Business and Professions, and Rules committees and the Subcommittee on Education Finance. He is also chair of the Select Committee on Social Housing. He is interested in learning more about successful models of social housing worldwide.
