LindoYes (he/him) is a dyslexic spoken-word poet born, raised, and living in Philadelphia. His work has been featured in the Philly Weekly, Metro Philly, Philadelphia Inquirer, Button Poetry, Voices in Power, and Def Poetry Jam, to name a few. Lindo’s creativity has expanded to include short video animations, gumball machines that dispense his poetry, and plays, where he has centered Black existence, mental health, and fantasy/sci-fi. He is the recipient of the 2023 Jackie Robinson award by Color of Change; was one of 2023’s Change Makers of the Year, awarded by the publication Uptown Standard at its Uppity Awards; and was nominated for Voices In Power’s social impact award. LindoYes’s graphic novel "Pawnshop," a sci-fi/fantasy anthology on mental health set in Philly, will be published by 100 Block Futures in July 2025.
