Ariel H. Bierbaum is an associate professor of urban studies and planning at the University of Maryland’s School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. Bierbaum’s cross-disciplinary research connects the fields of urban studies, city and regional planning, and public education to better understand how to build equitable and just places for minoritized and historically marginalized youth and families.
