    ABOUT THE POSITION: 

    The Deputy Director serves as a key partner working with the Director of Housing Services and is responsible for the quality and consistency of operations and services across all housing services programs. The Deputy Director supports Program Managers by providing direct leadership and assists in the effective implementation of newly established procedures and programmatic changes. The Deputy supports the Director in ensuring fiscal management, quality program delivery, excellent levels of resident services and program success that align with the agency’s core values. The Deputy Director supports employees in their work by ensuring they have the resources needed and consistently fosters a culture of learning by sharing best practices and on-going feedback at all levels.

    LOCATION: South Lake Union (Seattle, WA)

    REPORTS TO: Director of Housing Services

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt

    SCHEDULE: Weekdays (plus evenings & weekends as needed for emergencies)

    SALARY RANGE: $78,000-$91,000 Annual DOE

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Work experience is a key factor for success in this role. In addition, success in this role requires a passion for knowledge and drive for continuing professional development or education. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work or related field would be a compliment to the required experience.
    • A minimum of 3-5-years’ supervisory experience, in a human or direct social services setting, required.
    • 4-years or more of senior management experience, preferred.
    • Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging.
    • Familiarity with topics of housing instability, mental health, substance use, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, required.
    • Valid WA driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and a driving record that meets Compass standards, required.
