Tom Wooten is the author of two books: No One Had a Tongue to Speak, cowritten with Utpal Sandesara, a social history of a deadly dam collapse in western India that killed as many as 25,000 people, and We Shall Not Be Moved is a narrative nonfiction account of five neighborhood recovery efforts in post-Katrina New Orleans.
