Sudhir Venkatesh

Sudhir Venkatesh is professor of sociology at Columbia University. He is the author of American Project: The Rise and Fall of a Modern Ghetto and Living Underground: The Sociology of Informal and Illegal Income Generation. His documentary “Dislocation” follows families as they relocate from condemned public housing.
