Gordon Chin served as executive director of the Chinatown Community Development Center for 34 years, prior to his retirement from this position in October 2011. Under his leadership, Chinatown CDC developed over 2,500 units of affordable housing for senior, immigrant families, and formerly homeless individuals in many San Francisco neighborhoods. He has served on the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, the Recreation and Park Commission, and many other local and national boards. In 2015, he authored “Building Community, Chinatown Style”.
