Sadly, we may know our economy, but the funding sources require us to use the economists or market study data that may be less accurate. Very, very frustrating.”

We do scenario planning so that we have a sense of how our organization might be different based on different economic models. Even with that, we are still surprised. The key is keeping the core fundamentals in place.”

Every market is volitile in the current environment. Correctly assessing the motivation and capacity of buyers, sellers, and lenders is key. Also, avoid sellers, lenders, and buyers that re-trade or suggest structures and/or funding schemes that are suspect or illegal.”
